How recording works
Recording is an optional feature available during live meetings:- Recordings are captured in real time during the meeting.
- Once the meeting ends, the recorded file is stored in secure cloud storage.
- Recordings are linked to your meeting and accessible through the platform after processing is complete.
Recording must be initiated by an authorized participant — typically an NGO administrator. Recordings do not start automatically.
Accessing recordings
Log in to WeCareRemote
Go to wcr.is/home and sign in with your credentials.
Navigate to your recordings
Open your meeting history or recordings section from the platform navigation.
Recording availability
Recordings are available for a limited time after the meeting. Availability depends on the platform’s retention policy for your organization.Privacy
Recordings capture the video and audio of all participants in the meeting for the full duration of the recorded session. As a best practice, inform all participants before starting a recording. This ensures transparency and helps maintain trust between refugees and NGO staff.
Recording capability depends on your account type. NGO administrators typically initiate recordings. If you need access to a recording and cannot find it, contact your NGO contact or platform administrator.
Programmatic access
NGO administrators can list and download recordings via the API. See the recordings API reference for the endpoint, response shape, and code examples.Best practices for recorded meetings
- Announce the recording. Tell participants at the start of the meeting that you are recording and why.
- Limit who has access. Only share recording URLs with people who genuinely need them.
- Delete what you no longer need. If your retention policy lets you remove a recording manually, do so once the case is closed.
- Be mindful of background content. Anything visible during screen share — open documents, browser tabs, notifications — is captured in the recording.
